The Elimination Diet

  • 90 Days
  • 12 Steps

About

The elimination diet is a process in which you eliminate 8 major food categories which are common allergens followed by a re-introduction phase. The IFM elimination diet eliminates dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt), wheat/gluten, soy, peanuts, coffee and caffeine products, pork and beef. Following 3 weeks of the elimination of these foods any allergic reactions should subside. Use the symptom tracker to re-introduce foods every 3 days. The first day of re-introduction you should eat several servings of that food and then wait to see if you have symptoms. If any symptoms do occur, wait for 3 more months to re-introduce the foods again.
